So, I'm working on Chapter Four.
I've just started it, but hopefully I can get it done relatively soon.
I wish writing, and art, and well...everything from my imagination could just be depicted as I see it, no time involved. It's taking far too long for me to place my thoughts as they come. Before I have time to finish, they're gone. Silly, over reactive imagination.
Anyway, that's the scoop on that. I've also been working on a number of fun things in the visual art department.
A digital drawing of Reagan and Saigon. I wanted to practice some cell shading, for old time's sake, but I can't get it to not look cheap.
A watercolor (for class) of Tarja Turunen, former vocalist of Nightwish. It's turning out really well, I think I captured her face quite nicely. My mother also said I looked like her ^_^ That was nice, because I think Tarja's beautiful. She's got very sharp features, but a different, classic look, and I like that.
My second animation for Essence (which is about halfway done and coming along smoothly).
And quite a few photo assignments that I actually kind of like.
In other news, I can't seem to get a hold of Alex

It's only been two days but that's enough for me to stress a bit about it. And no, it's not a "OMG, he's not calling me" situation, I just want to make sure nothing serious happened. I'm paranoid, what can I say?
But, on a lighter note, here's a teaser for Chapter Four...
As we entered the gates, I had little to think about aside from the feeling of inferiority compared to the great city. I was astonished by the massive white walls protecting the inhabitants and instantly overwhelmed by the amount of which bustled before me. My eyes would linger from the stones, to the invading ivy seeping through the cement's flawed defenses, to the numerous market stands and carts that seemed to be as plentiful as the people. I could hardly bother to pay attention to Nile as we walked about, with his constant scoffing and remarks such as, "What do they mean by, 'No trouble from
you,' anyhow? It's a lot of rubbish is what it is, my tribe has been nothing but generous to these people and still, they treat us like animals-".
He went on like this for a good while as we went. Occasionally he'd drop a nod or a handshake to a familiar passer-by, but that was the most my attention could carry of him. I was swept up, once again, in the beautiful power of the city. I scarcely found a moment to rest my eyes upon just one thing. Even the faces of the city people intrigued me. At last, they settled upon the four turrets overhead, keeping watch on the area beyond the city gates.
One particular turret, a dark tower, loomed over us like an ominous plague. It even seemed to wither in sorrow, dropping over to bear the pain of it's burden onto the citizens that looked upon it. It was beautiful, but severe, as the tower spiked in to a horrible point more obvious than the other towers. I had an inclination as to what this tower stood for and the notion made my stomach turn. Descending from the tower's stairs was the General, flanked by three men much taller than he; revealed to us as they appeared from the tower door onto the city streets. Something about the man in charge, with his critical eyes, sharp features, and firmly pressed lips beneath an expertly trimmed mustache; brought on a feeling of troubling uncertainty. I couldn't read his expression. It was somewhere locked between unbearably angry and confused. It seemed enraged by something he didn't understand, perhaps that something was me.
END!
